I gave Fireside another try after a bad first experience. I usually don't do that, but the owner sent me an apology and I have continually heard great things about this restaurant. I was not disappointed. My wife and I arrived around 6:00 on a Friday night, and we were seated right away. There's a good selection of craft beers and also a nice wine list. To start, I ordered the Fireside Salad with mixed greens, walnuts, dried cranberries, and goat cheese with a vinaigrette dressing. This was AMAZING. It had very fresh ingredients, crisp greens, and was a good portion for a side salad. We ordered the vegetarian pizza with an assortment of veggies including eggplant. (I love eggplant on pizza.) It came out hot and crispy, with just a perfect amount of char from the brick oven. Excellent pizza. The crust is just right - not too thin so it becomes crackly but it's not too doughy either. Very nice. This is a rather small place and it became quite crowded by the time we left. There are seats at the bar (which is also small), and an outdoor, pet-friendly patio too. I kind of like how it's an old Palm Harbor house turned into a restaurant. It has a nice, homey atmosphere. We waited a little bit of a long time for the server to bring us the bill, but overall the service was good. I wouldn't bring a big crowd here because there isn't a lot of room, and it gets awfully tight. That's good for them of course! I really enjoyed the food, and I am glad I gave Fireside another chance.

A little pricey but good pizza. I like supporting the local businesses and this is a cool little spot. If you stop by for some pizza make sure you swing by the gelato shop next door. The owners of both places are related. I like the outdoor seating provided at the fire side pizza cafe.

We have been here twice and have only tried the pizza and the cheesy garlic bread. Both are excellent. They have a good selection of craft beers and do some type of beer tasting event occasionally. It's very small and stays busy so get there early or expect a wait. So far we've had great service and I would definitely recommend giving them a try.

it was like eating sex! The Bianca Pizza was delicious. The cheese, the flavors, the crust...so tasty. The Fireside wings are crispy and have just enough heat. Great beer selection and a great staff.

Very small but very, very good. My wife and I make a point to go there at least once every time we go to Florida. But I always try to go on a week night because I think they will likely be too crowded on the weekend.

If you dislike Anthony's - try this place. Much better in so many ways! Not overly burnt. Spicy sauce that you can actually taste! Fresh ingredients with the option if wheat crust was a perk for me. Small place, but you can always come in early when all the regulars aren't off work yet! Christino is still the champ though...

I've never been disappointed when eating here. The pizza is some of the best I've had in the Pinellas/Pasco area, because it's cooked right in a wood fire brick oven - the ONLY way to cook pizza, in my opinion. Fireside is absolutely worth the 50 minute drive from my parents' place. Definitely order a pizza, and definitely order the buffalo wings. There are also some great sandwiches and other entrees for the interested. Inside is a little cramped, so sit outdoors and bring your family and friends. Bon appetite!

After splitting a delicious gyro over at Hula Girl, La Chica and I strolled over to Fireside to see what all the hype was about. Small place, Friday night and kinda busy. No problem because we're just eating to eat at this point. Eventually, we ordered the following items. CARNE small pizza - Very good. Nice brock oven flavor. They use semolina instead of flour on the bottom of their pizza, but it's not a liberal dose and does not affect the integrity of the pizza. It's not NY pizza. It's not Chicago pizza. It's not Detroit pizza. It's not St. Louis style pizza. It's just pizza, for the casual consumer. EGGPLANT appetizer - Just okay. Unless you're a vegetarian on a mission, I wouldn't really suggest ordering this item. No wood-fired taste at all. Just a bunch of really chewy cheese, good red sauce and average eggplant. WINGS - Excellent. Great fire-roasted flavor. Served with roasted onions. We had the honey garlic flavor, but were advised after that the most popular and tastiest was the dry-rubbed wings. Probably would have been helpful intel prior to ordering, not after. Service was not bad and the place looked pretty orderly and clean. Only thing I saw that was of concern were some folded pizza boxes sitting on the floor. I sure hope they're not putting pizzas in boxes that have been on the ground. That is a huge health code violation. All-in-all, I will go 3 stars. The pizza was pretty good, but I wouldn't make a special trip to Palm Harbor for it. If I was already there, and craving pizza, then I would probably return.

The cheese pizza is beyond amazing !! The Magherita pizza is delicious. Not crazy about the honey garlic parm wings. Eating outside at sunset is fly heaven. I'm not of fan of having pets in the place where I'm eating but if upu are then you'll be happy. The waitress also said she gets attacked by sand fleas a lot. The staff was friendly and again the pizza, was delicious

  • Jeanine S.

It's a good pie, a lot better than most in the area. The crust is thin and the sauce was nicely seasoned. It's a cute place and they're very friendly. We had a standard cheese pie, my dinner date is such a boring eater... I will return and update soon.

Ok I'll start out positive. Had the large margherita pizza, Dough has a great texture. Olive oil is good quality, arugula is fresh and crispy, and I liked the fresh/diced tomatoes. The positive ends. Now for the bad. WAY too much cheese! I think there was 3 cheeses. At least 2 for sure. No flavor and the crust had a distinct burnt flavor. Even tho it wasn't burnt. I pulled so much cheese off. And way over priced. $30 for 1 beer and 1 large pizza. Call the margherita something else because the only resemblance is tomatoes and basil

It's cute, quaint, and serves edible foods. Knowing the versatility and deliciousness of fire licked meats n veggies we headed on over after sampling a gyro nearby. The entire meal I couldn't stop thinking about Hula Girl, and the Tarpon nearby. The fire wasn't at all utilized in my eggplant dish. Just a cheesy saucy comfort food I would imagine kids with a really restrictive palate would just love. (Not me) The wings were great, although we learned later that we ordered wrong, and should have gone with the dry-rub, which is more complimentary to wings prepared this way. The pizza was good. I have pizza, eggplant and wings just as good as these near my home, so I don't think I'll be back, but my oh my the gyro at Hula Girl Oyster Bar! Oh yeah, the service was good.

Definitely try the "fireside wings " These wings are done in the pizza oven like the pizzas, with onions and a tasty spicy rub. To die for......

  • Kelcey O.

Love love love their pizza!!!!! We went there for the first time tonight. We started with the honey buffalo wings. This is probably the only reason they got 4 and not 5 stars. The wings were on the small side. Aside from that they were not crispy and I didn't taste any honey in the sauce. I'd probably order them again but make sure you specify extra crispy. The pizza however, was awesome. I got the Parma. I made sure they added the arugula AFTER the pizza was cooked. It was so good that even though I'm stuffed I can't wait until I'm hungry again so I can enjoy my leftovers! They also had a twisted pretzel beer that tasted like a pretzel!!! It was so good and not heavy even though it was a dark beer. Make sure to go next door and get some gelato for dessert.

  • Mary M.

The 20 honey buffalo wings were yummy. I liked how they are served with cooked onions. Next time I will ask for them to be cooked a little bit longer so that they are crisper. Pizza is done very well and my favorite is the margarita pizza, simple and delicious

Still love this place. Sauce is good maybe put a little too much on their pizza. But delicious.

Good, but was not blown away. Ordered a large Supremo, tasty, but definitely will not be making it on my list for top pizza In Florida. $21.95, and not worth the price tag for me. It didn't make me want to over indulge in a last, but unnecessary piece like I usually do when I'm eating something extra delicious. Ordered a Greek Salad that was $7.95. Looks big in the pic, but it's small. Everything is spread out on the plate and it had very little lettuce. For 7.95?, they're nuts. I was expecting a salad a bit bigger than that. It was about the size of a side salad u get along with an entree meal. I tried it, it's not bad. That's all.

Fireside is hands down one of my favorite local spots. Living only a couple miles away, I've dined here often. My sister got me hooked, who knows all the staff and they all greet us like family when we walk in. It's not a huge restaurant, but I love the cozy feel. For an app, I ALWAYS get the wings. You won't have wings like Fireside's anywhere else. With lots of sauce and the perfectly sautéed onions, they're a must and you won't have leftovers. I also order a side Caesar salad which can be split between two people (my sis and I do this). That also has it's own unique flavor. Garlic knots are big and garlicky! The pizza is AMAZE. I think I've had just about every single one including a gluten free pie. The Carne is my top favorite. When it comes out, I can barely wait for it to cool before diving in like Tony Soprano at a Sunday dinner. Never had a sandwich, but I recently brought my cousin to check it out here and he fell in love with the chicken parm sub more than his pregnant fiancée. It was "that good." Everything about Fireside is great - the staff, pizza, appetizers, wide selection of beers, atmosphere, and location too. Cent' anni! (To 100 years! In Italian)

  • Laurel F.

First visit! We had the pizza Bianca (white pizza) and the fireside wings, which are dry rubbed and served on a bed of onions. Both were excellent! They have 9 craft beers on tap and the service is great. I really enjoyed our visit and will be back!

    (5)
  • Nic B.

I drive a good distance to eat here because good pizza is hard to find in Tampa Bay. I've been disappointed only a few times because sometimes the crust is too charred. I love wood-fired pizza but hate when half of the pizza is black. The white pizza is great and the house salad is delicious too. Good beer on tap and a nice patio for cooler nights make this place a favorite of mine!

  • Christopher M.

The pizza is really good, tastes great and the crust is very crispy. It's get a bit crowded inside, but the outdoor seating is great when Florida weather cooperates. There's a "but" coming... But, we got the cheese & garlic pizza dough strips. To say I was disappointed is an understatement, they were very, very bland. The "cheese" was grated cheese sprinkled on top (not even melted), they are very dry and in desperate need of some marinara dipping sauce. I would definitely go back, but I would stick to getting just pizza. Update: Got some of their buffalo wing to watch some Gator football. And on the way home there was so much promise, they smelled great. Got home and they were tasteless and very greasy. Will not be going back.

This is seriously THE BEST pizza and service--such a awesome selection of wine and house made sangria to the rotating taps!!! Being able to watch our pizza being made with the family recipes ... Seriously it's a must try if your in the area! I will always pick to go here for pizza or for a good happy hour stop with my girlfriends!! The garlic knots is #1 best thing!!! Loved the atmosphere and great patio seating too!!they have dessert but you might as well go to his brothers next door for yummy gelato!

Friday night is a busy night... and when it's cold outside, it's even busier since they can't use their outside seating. The food is -good-, VERY good. The husband and I decided to try a little something from every column. We tried the Caprese salad, two different kind of wings: The fire side and the Garlic/parmesan wings and a small margharita pie. Everything was delivered relatively quickly, the caprese salad was very fresh with nice big leaves of basil. The wings were tasty, but the garlic/parm wings were missing something.. salt. And the pizza.. THE PIZZA was delicious! Absolutely tasty. Would certainly come back for that any day.

Great place for a take out pizza. Serivice is a little on the slow side and usually they are understaffed which makes for unhappy servers. The pizza however is well worth the wait, have never been disappointed with the quality and taste of the pizza. Always consistant which is very nice as there are no unpleasant surprises. Lots of pizzeria's around so it's safe to say that is one is on my top 5 pizza places.

    (4)
  • Stephanie A.

Best pizza in the area!!! Their house salad is addicting and the meatball parm sandwich on pizza dough is heavenly!!! I'm leaving the area soon and this is one of the two places I'll miss the most.

  • Brad S.

Great gourmet pizzas, but excruciatingly slow cooking when the place is slammed. I guess they have one of those small authentic brick ovens. Whatever, it's not big enough to turn out the goods fast enough when there's a full or even near-full house. We must have waited more than 45 mins for our two small pies, which gave us 5 mins to wolf them down since I had other commitments nearby on a Saturday night. Make no mistake, the pies are delicious. I only tried the small cheese and it was loaded with cheese and garlicky flavor. They do not skimp on ingredients, and they are quality all the way. My companion's loaded, gluten-free pie was also top notch. If you have time for a long leisurely meal, then this is your best bet in downtown old Palm Harbor.

Dined on the hot patio where there were 3 tables & 1 non-oscillating fan. When we were seated, fan was directed at another table. Upon patrons vacating that table, we re-directed fan toward our table. Patrons who were seated after us asked their waitress to re-direct fan to their table. Without consulting us, she re-directed away from our table, toward the other table. I yelled at the waitress to move the fan back toward us, but she mumbled something in Spanish under her breath and walked inside. I mentioned to our waiter what had occurred, explaining the seniority should take precedence and we had waited patiently until other table vacated before moving fan. His reply was, "To bad." I told him we would not be returning to the restaurant because of the rude waitress, and management chosing not to deal with the situation.

I can't stop recommending this place to anytime I see! The pizza is so outstanding. The sauce, the cheese, the crust... So yummy! I just love their eggplant appetizer. It is so delicious. I also love their "Flight of Beers" where you can try a few of the craft beers.

Nice place w character in an old house converted to a restaurant - a neat area of restaurants and pubs in a residential area. Cool atmosphere different than all the usual strip malls. Food is delicious. We had Fireside Salads (cranberries, goat cheese and walnuts on salas w great dressing) and a sausage pizza with great sausage. They have a great selection of wine and beer. We went New Years Eve night and although not busy at alll bc they closed at 10pm for the holiday - the staff was pleasant.

Yum! My husband and I got the cheesy garlic bread as an app and we devoured it in less than a minute. We even had a legitimate argument over the last piece. Crispy crust and great flavor. He got a plain cheese personal pie and I got the Hawaiian. The ham had a strange texture that I didn't enjoy but the pizza itself was delish. Nice outdoor seating. The waitress seemed frazzled even though there weren't many people there. We loved it and will be back.

This is the only pizza spot in Florida that I actually crave and sometimes dream about at work. Succulent toppings and hearty portions; this reminds me of better food you would find on the west coast. The food is 5 stars BUT Gluten free crust? +1 star. Good beers on tap? +1 star. Beautiful hostess and waitresses? +1 star. So really this is 8 star pizza, no lie. You won't regret trying it.

For wood fired pizza, Fireside delivers a tasty pie. I ordered the Margherita, which had a nice thin crust and was prepared with fresh ingredients. The only thing that was off putting was that their specialty pies are priced a bit higher than I am accustomed to. The atmosphere was cozy, service good but I prefer Anthony's in Countryside for wood fired pizza because I just think their crust tastes better. It's just a matter of personal taste. But Fireside is a nice addition to downtown PH and I may try them again to sample a basic pie for comparison.

Went on a Friday night and man was it busy! We waited at least 45 min for our food and when it came it was mediocre at best. I ordered the GF crust pizza and hubby ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich which he said was solid. Server was friendly just seemed super understaffed for how crowded they were...

We have frequented Fireside numerous times and it is hands down the best pizza in northern Pinellas county. The crust is delicious and has the right amount of char. It is especially nice to find that they offer a whole wheat option that is just as good as the white version. We have gotten the veggie and the margherita - we prefer the margherita because we thought the amount of cheese on the veggie seemed to weigh it down. The fresh mozz and roasted tomatoes are so nice and it shows how simplicity is sometimes best. The beer selection is also pretty good with a nice emphasis on local brews - pricing is about average. The service is always very efficient and friendly. It is a small restaurant (old house) so the seating is tight but we have never had a problem getting a table on a weekend, although we do tend to dine early - between 5 and 6. The only complaint is that they don't offer a medium sized pizza, but then there are great leftovers from a large! Be sure to check out coolside gelato next door, a wonderful way to end a meal.

Delicious, local pizza joint that also serves excellent salads, sandwiches, and other goodies. Fresh and yummy ingredients are most certainly used - I can tell! Small and intimate building - great beers on draft and good happy hour specials. Parking can be tricky depending on what is going on downtown. You need to try this place!

Been a number of times pizza is good but takes too long for orders to come out. the last time we were there we ordered our pizzas at 6:30pm at 8:10pm still no pizza asked how much longer they said they be out when they are ready.. Sorry pizza is good but not that good.. try Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza Better customer service and better pizzas

This place was once great but the quality has gone slowly downhill over the past few years. We've eaten here about a dozen times, most recently last week.

Cool little neighborhood spot. It's got a nice ambience and 3 microbrews on draft as i saw. I would order light cheese on the pie. The amount of cheese kinda over weighs the crust.

Fireside Pizza is located in the "historical" downtown part of Palm Harbor..it is another of a new breed of restaurant that I have noticed is starting to pop up around the state in that it's a high end wood fired Pizzeria that also serves high end beer and wine..this is definitely one of the better ones I have been to...first the beer menu is fantastic...whomever is choosing it knows their beer...lots of great "national" craft beers from Founders..Stone..etc, but than many stellar local ones from the likes of Cigar City ..7th Sun..etc...as for the food, everything I have had so far has been great...salads are done well....the hot wings are cooked in the pizza oven and served with crunchy onions on them..these are worth the trip here alone...the pizzas have all been good as well..the wood oven gives the thin crust a crunchy snap that is tough to match...pepperoni and sausage version has received high praise, but my personal favorite is one of their specialty Pizzas, the Parma, which has prosciutto and arugula on it..just fabulous..if I was just rating on the beer and food this place is a 5 star all the way...the only problems I have with Fireside are it's pretty small inside and outside on the patio so there is not much seating, so as you can imagine the wait times can be pretty long on a lot of nights...even calling in takeout orders we have been quoted one hour plus pick-up times ,obviously due to the fact they are crowded and the brick oven can only hold so many pizzas at once...the crowds and the fact that the servers here always seem to be in a grumpy mood(maybe due to always being busy) makes me have to deduct a star...well that and the fact that last time we were there the utter chaos in the parking lot at the Redneck Bar across Nebraska had all of us Diners on the patio at Fireside hoping we were not going to end up as collateral damage from the rapidly escalating conflict!!.... Fireside is definitely a recommended spot if you like high end Pizza and Craft Beer and don't mind paying a little more for such high quality fare..just try to go at an "off" hour and watch the parking lot across the street to make sure "All's Quiet on the Western Front" and you will have a great meal and time

Our waitress was great, helpful, always smiled, and always checked on us. The restaurant is nice, and has a nice dog friendly patio. But, I am sorry to say that I am a pizza snob. I'm from chicago, and I love pizza - deep dish, pan, thin crust. I love it with tons of sauce and flavor in the crust. It's fine for me to ask for more sauce on the side. I just feel like the crust was nothing special to me. It's hard for me to find that in FL. I have found a couple places, but I can not say that this is the place.

This is the second time I have purchased pizza here. Both times the pizza was excellent! Cooked at very high heat in a wood fired brick oven, this pizza is superb. Real cheese, sweet onions, high quality pepperoni and a nice crisp crust. Highly recommend. Has a nice bar as well. Friendly ambiance.

This restaurant was cute and sort of small. I walked in and instantly liked the smell. We got a Fireside Salad with goat cheese & walnuts. It was enough for 2 people. The salad was good, but the plates they served it on was sort of a shell with a lot of lines & a seam in it. It looked pretty, but cutting on said plates was a little tricky. The small pizza was enough for two. The Margherita pizza was very fresh tasting and delicious. I like how it was cooked. I wouldn't say it is thin crust, but it isn't Greek pizza either. Our FL family ordered sausage & fresh garlic large. No complaints. They were really surprised that we had found good pizza in FL. The wine list is fair, but the server was not aware that some beers/wines need to be purchased as a bottle. So, you can't really get single servings of too many wines/beers. Also, the reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because it isn't kid friendly for a pizza place. No crayons, placemats or kid dishes. The 2 highchairs were broken. I hate when restaurants do not have locking highchairs. Overall, a good pizza place!

Pretty much a local take on Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza. It has great food and is very close to home. I dig it. I gave it 4 stars because the service can be a bit slow and the seating is a little cramped because of the limited space.

Small charming bungalow in historic Palm Harbor. They make excellent wood-fired brick oven pizza. Dine in or take out. Beer and wine available, happy hour, too.

Being a true pizza fan, I was elated when Fireside emerged as a new offering just a few years ago. Even more excited b/c it was in the neighborhood. While I can't say this is the "best", it is very good. One of the smallest places you'll see, it's not recommended for those with claustrophobia. The ingredients are all quality, and the mozzerella appears fresh. The only dissapointment is the Margherita style pizza. At over $20, the price is very high, and the taste is lackluster compared to others in Tampa Bay and especially those in Europe where Marherita is the go-to preparation style. Otherwise if you stick with the standard-issue pies, Fireside is worth a visit.

So glad some friends suggested this place. It's tiny inside but makes a great intimate spot for date night or girls night out. There's a little bar area and about 10 tables. You can see the kitchen and the gorgeous brick oven from the dining room. I started with the Fireside salad which is amazing. The spring mix is fresh and the toppings are of quality. I got the gluten free Bianca (white) pizza and it was out of this world good. They throw the gluten free pizza in the oven when no other regular crust pizzas are in there. I have been making my own pizza at home lately because usually the gluten free crust that restaurants order is very graham cracker-like. This was not the case at Fireside. The gluten free dough is thin but still chewy. Perfect brick oven pizza! AND they make their own sangria in house with just the right amount of cinnamon. They have an extensive wine list and many craft beer options both on draft and in the bottle. They even have gluten free beer. We went with some friends over the weekend and then went back the next Wednesday for date night, it was so good! Great option in quaint, downtown Palm Harbor.

  • T. S.

BEST PIZZA EVER!! I love this place. The pizza is amazing, the sangria is to die for, and the staff is friendly and attentive. My husband loves the selection of micro brews on tap. If you haven't tried the wood fired pizza there yet, you MUST stop in. And if they have broccoli pinwheels listed on the chalk board, don't pass them up!

These guys are by far the best at everything they do! My wife and I have been looking for good pizza since moving down here, and we finally found it. We got hooked on their pizzas first, then salads, wings, garlic knots, and the latest thing is the Sangria. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Highly recommended!

Really great pizzas. All the toppings are good, and the salads are fresh. Nice charred crust, tangy sauce, and the whole wheat option is awesome. It's nice to have such good pizza so close to home.
